Tyler Smith - Personal Trainer
Hometown – Ft. Worth, Texas
Certification – NASM Certified Personal Trainer

Training Philosophy – Working out should be fun, working out NEEDS to be fun, or, like anything in life, odds are we aren’t going to do it. For most people—myself included—the same old routine of lifting weights and running on the treadmill hours a week is not fun. It is important to keep our time in the gym fresh by changing things up from workout to workout, and from week to week. My advice is to get off the Cybex machines and Stairmasters, and train dynamically. Plyometric, balance, speed, and agility training are a much more enjoyable and practical way to spend your workout time. You are guaranteed to achieve your goals more quickly, and live a healthier, happier life by employing these methods.

Personal Note – Exercise and athletics has changed my life. There is no feeling in the world like waking up in the morning fit and healthy. I have more energy, and therefore am able to do so much more from day to day, and year to year. The joy and sense of accomplishment I get from “bombing the singletrack” on my mountain bike, or “shredding the slopes” in Northern New Mexico, or “topping-out a fourteener” in Colorado is indescribable. I chose to become a Personal Trainer because I wanted to share these joys with others. I consider myself extremely fortunate to be able to combine the two things I love most in life, athletics and people, into a career.

Matthew Tanner – Personal Trainer
Since 1993, through an individualized an holistic approach, Matthew has dedicated his skills and energies to guiding numerous clients with diverse exercise histories and medical profiles to the achievement of their health and fitness goals. Matthew's philosophy involves the gradual education and unification of one's goals and lifestyle, while emphasizing that true health can be achieved only when the mind, body and soul become integrated into a congruent whole.

For the past 12 years Matthew has worked with renowned medical doctor and weight reduction specialist, Howard Flaks, M.D. Dr. Flaks discovered Matthew's skills as a motivator and a teacher to be the perfect compliment to his highly successful weight reduction and management program. Matthew holds a bachelor of arts degree in "Contemplative Psychology" (Tibetan Buddhist philosophy and Western psychology) from Naropa University.

Matthew also accepted several difficult challenges of training lead actors for large scale corporate movie productions, such as Salma Hayek, whom, despite an injured hip and an aversion to exercise, was able to achieve her stunning figure for the feature film, "After The Sunset."

Conrad Corby – Personal Trainer
Conrad Corby received his NSCA certification while attending the National Institute of Personal Training in Orlando, FL. A native Texan, Conrad grew-up in Waco, joined the Marine Corps in 2003, and is now enjoying life in Austin. He trained fellow soldiers for fitness tests while in the military, and has been involved in sports and sports training throughout his life. Other than personal training, Conrad also enjoys snowboarding, wakeboarding, traveling, and spending time at the lake with his dog Maddox. His lives by the philosophy that physical fitness is meant to be a fun and exhilarating experience...not something that is mundane and burdensome. As a personal trainer, he encourages his clients to push beyond their boundaries in areas of endurance, strength training, and nutrition, and he keep his clients motivated by incorporating exciting new workouts into each session.
