Personal Note: What makes a good massage? There is no simple answer. For me, it was a matter of necessity that I found the best teachers. You can teach someone to play music and they can understand the concepts, but I believe that love of an art is inside you. I love what I do and I love that my work has touched people's lives. I will always be a student. Aside from massage, I am a marvelous cook, love a good glass of wine or congnac, take long walks with my dogs, woodworking, and remain a believer in the goodness of people.
Gregory Gorey, LMT
Massage Director

Personal Note: I believe that bodywork is an art as well as a science. We cannot get inspired results without tapping into the intuitive consciousness; however, we must also master the technical aspects of bodywork if we are able to express that inspiration. Beethoven and Mozart were brilliant artists, whose creative genius is well known, but without the formal training and understanding of music structure, their inspirations would never have been fully expressed.
