being active with groups of other people.
All classes
can be modified to higher or lower intensity and impact. Classes
preceded by a "+" are especially recommended for beginning
level exercisers. Please see the Group

THE BACKYARD TRIATHLON!! – May 4th, 2008 @ 7am
The Backyard Triathlon is a mini tri that is held right here at The Hills! This event benefits Capital of Texas Team Survivor; a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the well-being of women cancer survivors by providing physical activities and education in a supportive atmosphere. This is a great opportunity to get in practice and geared up for the 2008 Triathlon season! Class Descriptions
Outdoor Cross Training
Short and sweet move your feet to take this fast paced, intense outdoor cross training class. Over the river and through the woods this class offers 45 minutes of NON STOP movement through an action packed obstacle course giving your body a complete and thorough workout including amazing core! Camaraderie and friendly competition give you energy for the entire day! This class was developed from a mountain boot camp. Meets outside at the ropes course. (meets in group fitness room in bad weather) Intermediate/Adv.
Cardio & Core
Great music sets the tone for this low-impact workout. Come prepared for fun-packed themes from Latin to Beach. Muscle Conditioning follows using weights, bars, or bands. Pilates type moves and/or Gliding Discs build ab strength and class concludes with an effective stretch. Perfect for ALL levels of fitness as modifications will be given to either increase or decrease intensity.
Ultimate Burn Circuit
This class will make you feel like a kid again and get you in terrific shape. Jump rope, circuit training, step, hi/low movements, partner drills, breath hard, deep core, play with toys, challenge yourself and sweat, sweat, sweat. All levels.
Fusion
This class will incorporate kick box cardio, muscle conditioning, and Pilates type movements into an exciting new dimension of body conditioning great for every level.
Circuit 101
Routines include circuit, outdoor walking, gentle aerobics, sculpting with weights, bands & chi balls, and working with stability toys. Feel younger, increase balance and range of motion. This class will build camaraderie and is great for Seniors, beginners and intermediates and for all stages of pregnancy.
Anything Goes
Just as the name implies, you will find yourself challenged to do anything from step, muscle conditioning, interval work, ball stabilization core work, running, inside and outside the gym. Never a dull moment in this workout!
Cardio Hi/Lo + Dynamic Strength Training
In this class expect a 45 minute cardio session consisting of Circuit & Hi/Lo fun combined with Glider Pros, Bench, Bosu, Cycle or power drills of multi dimensional movement for improving balance and proprioceptive skills along with your aerobic capacity. The workout continues with a muscle strength and endurance conditioning segment with a variety of weights, toys and tools available. Intermediate/Advanced.
Muscle
An intense & fun class for beginners to advanced. Starting with a remedial warmup, (haha) the class will focus on specific muscles groups head to toe throughout the hour, using gravity, hand weights, stability balls, weight bars, bands and more. You can amp or or decrease the intensity to your personal strength/intensity level. The class moves from body part to body part, offering the opportunity for a raised, aerobic heart rate level throughout the class optimizing fat and calorie burning!!!!
Pre Pilates
This is just a taste of what Pilates is! It’s fun, yet challenging. A combination of ballet, modern dance, yoga, and Pilates to produce a whole body workout. You will have increased energy, strength, and flexibility.
Steppin Up
This high energy class may include traditional step, interval style step, drills in the gym, built in and stand alone muscle strength drills, and interesting choreography. You may use body bars, resistance bands, fitballs, and hand weights. Abdominals and flexibility wrap up a wonderful total body workout full of fun and variety. All levels.
Great Balls of Fun
An energetic cardio workout incorporating stability balls, medicine balls and sculpting balls. You will develop better coordination, agility and mobility for your entire body and mind. Great for beginners, all levels of pregnancy and seniors.
Aqua Cardio Circuits
Fun, joint friendly cardio workout to challenge your strength and stamina with aquatic circuits and intervals. Build upper and lower body strength, burn calories, and strengthen your core with specific techniques using buoyant and resistant equipment in the pool.
Salsa-n-Sweat!
Fun calorie burning that’s great for abs and core. Includes drills, lunges, and various cardio conditioning moves along with sizzlin' HiLo. You’ll be energized and work every muscle in your body to the hot beat of the music!
